Venneos is based in Stuttgart, Germany. The company’s technology is derived from decades of research by Prof. Fromherz at the Max Planck Institute for Biochemistry, and was initially founded by the EXIST-Forschungstransfer. The GmbH was founded in 2014 by Jonas Lehmann, David Wehner and Dr. Ralf Zeitler, and in 2015, the Venneos team acquired seed-funding of 1 million euros from a consortium of business angels from Stuttgart and family offices, the High-Tech Gründerfonds and Max Planck Society. Venneos successfully participated in numerous competitions: 2014 WECONOMY Competition, 2015 Science4Life Business Plan Competition, 2015 CyberOne Business Plan Competition, 2017 TechCrunch Hardware Battlefield.
