Venneos is a German high-tech company developing silicon-chip-based imaging-systems to revolutionize the analysis of biological cells. Its products build upon an innovative measurement technology called CAN (Cell Adhesion Noise)-Spectroscopy which opens up a whole new world of cell-based applications. Using CAN Spectroscopy electrical properties of cells are read out, providing new insights into cellular behavior.
CAN-Spectroscopy enables the study of cellular changes which remain invisible with other technologies. The microscopy-like visualization of the results allows an intuitive interpretation. The label-free and non-invasive character of CAN-Spectroscopy offers you one of the most natural ways to analyze cells.
Using CAN-Spectroscopy, a large spectrum of cellular behavior such as cell adhesion, cell migration, proliferation, cell death and other phenotypic changes can be detected and distinguished from each other. By being able to detect single cells, the minimum required cell count for CAN-Spectroscopy is low compared to other label-free technologies. This in combination with the information-rich readout makes it the perfect tool for investigating highly valuable cells such as primary cells or stem cells.
Venneos' users range from basic academic researchers in areas such as tumor biology, immunology and pharmacology to pharma and biotech companies active in the pre-clinical drug discovery and development.
Venneos officially launched its first commercially available product 'CAN-Q' in Q4/2016. If you would like to become one of its first users, sign up for the newsletter and stay tuned!
